FAQ

What are your prices?

I offer one set price of $4,400 for a full day of coverage. I don’t believe you should be missing any part of your story due to photography time constrains. For this reason, I don’t offer confusing and time restricted package options, instead I usually start when your days begins, unobtrusively documenting the unfolding moments, no matter what you have planned.

You are of course welcome to many additional options like wedding albums, fine art prints or an engagement/lifestyle session. Depending on location, I may also request an additional fee to cover the expenses of my travel and accommodation. For a more in-depth guide, please get in touch and I’ll email you a PDF brochure detailing my services and pricing.

If you’re planning an elopement or a smaller weekday wedding, I’d be happy to tailor a package suited for you. Please contact me and let’s chat.

Do you travel for weddings?

Absolutely! I’m extremely passionate about travel and exploration. No wedding is ever too close or too far for me to photograph, so please don’t let a road trip or flight stop you from having me along to tell your story. I’ve had the opportunity to photograph weddings all over Australia, Europe and New Zealand and I can’t wait to add more amazing destinations to my portfolio.

For weddings located 200km outside my home in Warragul, an additional fee will be included to cover the expenses of my travel and accommodation. You don’t have to worry about where I sleep or how I travel between locations, it’s all included in one simple flat rate fee.

It’s also handy to know that I hold dual Australian and European citizenship and always keep my passports up to date. This means I can work anywhere within Australia, New Zealand and Europe without having to worry about the hassles of applying for working visas.

How many photos will we receive?

It will depend on the wedding and how many images I select to tell the story of your day. But a good approximate number is between 500 and 700 photos for a full day of coverage. All photos are sent to you via your own personal, password-protected gallery from which you can download watermark-free, high-resolution, ready for print files for your personal use. The gallery is also a convenient print store from which you can order beautiful fine art prints.

When will we receive our photos?

Between six and eight weeks after your wedding day. This may seem like a long wait, but I spend a lot of time making sure every photo is carefully curated and edited for a beautiful presentation of the story of your wedding day. I never outsource any of my work as I prefer to have creative control over the details of every photo to keep a consistent style from start to finish. But don’t worry, I’ll still send you a few sneak peaks and a beautiful slideshow, guaranteed to elicit a few tears, a couple of weeks after your wedding.

Do you offer videography services?

I only specialise in still photography, but I personally know some of the best wedding videographers in the industry who I’d love to recommend. I can’t stress enough how important it is to work beside someone who is on the same page and documents in a similar unobtrusive style. It’s so difficult to try and make things work when the photographer and videographer have two completely different visions. Please let me know if you’re considering a videographer and I’ll send you a list of available recommendations.

Can we meet with you before we make a decision?

I don’t want to be a stranger at your wedding so getting to know each other is an important part of my service. After all, you’ll probably be spending more time with me than anyone else at your wedding! Let’s organise a quick chat, whether it be in person or through an online video call to make sure we’re right for each other.

We’re a little overwhelmed with the whole process of planning a wedding. Can you help?

Absolutely! While I prefer to be as unobtrusive as possible during the wedding day, I still love to work closely with all my couples in the months leading up to the wedding, helping them come up with a timeline to make the most out of their day. Please let me know if you need any recommendations or help with any ideas you may have, and I’ll be happy to offer any assistance.

We’re so comfortable being in front of the camera having our portraits taken!

Said no couple ever! No need to worry, I will work with you to create a calm session that allows you to express yourselves as naturally as possible. In most cases, I take couples out during sunset where they will finally have an opportunity to spend a little time alone, away from their guests. I might provide a little creative direction to spice the photos up artistically, however you’ll most likely find that the rest will come to you quite naturally as you take in the beautiful and intimate moment.

One way to get accustomed to having your portraits taken is through an engagement and lifestyle portrait session. Just the two of you and a location of your choice. We’ll get to know a little more about each other whilst spending some time in your favourite place. This could be as simple as spending some time at your home, visiting your local café or something more adventurous somewhere outdoors.

What if it rains?

I don’t believe there’s such a thing as bad weather for photography. I’ve taken some of my favourite portraits in cold, wet, windy and miserable weather. You’ll just have to hold each other that little bit tighter to keep warm.

————

We don’t see any family or group photos in your stories, do you still take these?

Yes, of course! In most cases it’s something that’s best done straight after the post-ceremony hugs, kisses and congratulations. I’ll make sure this is something that’s well organised so it won’t take more than 15 minutes and I can swiftly return to my task of documenting your day.

As I’m not too keen on shouting and ordering people around, I don’t recommend a large group photo. However, if it’s something you absolutely must have then I’ll oblige.

————

Do you back up the photos?

As soon as I finish up for the night and return to my car, I’ll create more backups of your photos, on more hard drives than I’ll ever need. I’ll also store your photos in two separate locations. That’s a firm yes!

————

Do you have insurance?

Yes. I can also provide a certificate of liability to your venue if they request one.

Everything sounds great, how do we make a booking?

Please fill out the contact form and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible (usually within 24 hours). If I’m available, I’ll send you and a link to my PDF brochure detailing my services and pricing. If everything looks good to you, let’s lock in a time for a quick chat. Once you’re ready to make a booking, I require a $1,000 retainer and signed contract to hold the date.
